My coupon helpers!

It's all in your head...

When you start seeing the HUGE difference that coupons can make, your whole mentality changes. You only want to buy things on sale, and preferably stack a coupon on top of that for an even better deal. CVS and Walgreens are my challenges right now. I am trying to make it to where I only use RR and ECB when I shop there. This takes practice and planning. I am not there, yet, but I have started buying this that you get RR/ECB for, to turn around and pay for what I need.

For example, Tye and Kenadie went on my cereal run to Randall's today, and did pretty well. I had promised them a treat last night when I left on a Walg's run, and forgot, so in order to make it up, I told them since they were good while I was doing my stuff, we would get them a treat. I needed to stop by a Walg's for a clearance item I had been hunting for, and told them they could pick something there. Walg's did not have my clearance item, so I let them pick out some candy. They each picked out $1.99 bags of candy, and I found some popsicles I wanted to get. So, I had 2 choices. Just go and pay $6 for all that and leave, OR go back, find some RR items, and double my purchase. I went and found some toothpaste that was FREE after RR, and some shaving cream that was $1.99 and you got $1 RR. I paid for those first, and received $5.50 in RR!! I used those RR to pay for candy and popsicles...so for the same amount that I would have paid for candy/ popsicles, I also got toothpast and shaving cream! It is all in the mindset! No coupons were used for this trans, or it may have been cheaper, but you can still double your purchases doing it this way!

No Inserts this Sunday

Just a heads up, DO NOT buy this Sunday's paper...because of the holiday, there will be no inserts.

Alisa's CVS trip last week

I had a really great trip to CVS last week. I was able to grab one of the blood glucose monitors (which I am donating) for FREE + I got $5 in ECB!!! With my coupons and ECB, I spend $12.49 and saved over $100 AND I still had $8 in ECB!!
Remember, CVS and Walgreens can be tricky. You have to practice to really be able to use them to your advantage (like never any cash out of pocket!!) If you need tips or suggestions, ask me on here, or email me!!

Tulle Day Sale

A couple of weeks ago, Hip2Save posted an awesome deal at a company called Tulle. They were having Tulle Day, in which they were selling there clothing at an awesome price, $3.99 and up. I received my order today and I am extremely pleased. I paid right at $50 ($12 was shipping) for 5 shirts and 4 dresses. The quality is very good, and I have not tried it all on, but it looks like it will all fit...and it is all modest!! I don't think I will have to "layer" any of them, which is hard to find! Especially with 9 things! All the dresses are perfect for church, and the shirts are great for date nights...both of which I was desperately in need of! I read on one of the comments that they may have this sale at least twice a year. It started at 12am PDT, which was 2am CDT, but it was well worth the late night! The next time I see this deal, I will make sure all of you know about it!

$50 in Kraft Coupons!!

Go to Kraft.com and register with Kraft foods. After you do that, click on the coupons tab to print out $50 in Kraft coupons!! Remember you will need to install the coupon printer if you have not done so already.

I saved $82 at Target!

It's not too late to get most of these deals, which I found on http://hip2save.blogspot.com/. A lot of the coupons I used don't expire until later this month.
The 50 items below cost me only $22.46, which averages out to be 45 cents per item including tax! The receipts say I saved $82.24, but I also earned and paid with 3 of the $5 gift cards you could earn with the Fiber One deal.
I'm curious... who are your favorite cashiers at Target and who do you avoid?

Like Walmart Prices, but prefer Target???

Check out this link!!!

Randall's--FREE strawberries!!!!!!!!

Follow this link to find a printable coupon for FREE strawberries with a $10 purchase!! My suggestion is to skim thru online ad for your zip code Randall.com and choose items that you will receive a catalina for. A catalina is the "cash" type coupon that prints out at the end. These are similar to Register Rewards at Walgs. Then, look thru your coupons and see if you have any coupons for those items. Don't forget you can go to this link to look up certain ads electronically.

We already need strawberries, so I might make a trip Monday and do this. If I do, I will post pics and let you know what I do.

Freezer meals

Mary and I have a goal to get together and make a lot of food that can be divided up, then frozen for quick, easy meals. I have done this a couple of times with spaghetti, and it was really easy. I was so excited when I wanted to have a good meal one evening, but did not feel like cooking...so I grabbed my bag of spaghetti, thawed it out, and that is what we had! I have not done it enough to know how much money it saves, but I keep reading it saves a lot. Anyone in the CP area that is interested, we can get together at my house one Saturday and just cook, cook, cook!!

Check out new blogs

I found some really great blogs the other day. I am a Money Magnet and Cents to Get Debt Free. Their buttons are on the right side of the blog. I would take a moment and check them out. They will both have you inspired to begin saving for the future, and not have any debt (including house and cars). I am working on some goals for us right now, and I am deciding on whether or not to post about them...kinda personal, I think! :) We shall see how it goes!!

Walgreens Trip

I purchased the Nivea body wash and Rembrandt mouthwash earlier that morning. I paid $10.39 total, and received $11 in Register Rewards (RR).
I went later and this is what I did...
Trans #1: Germ-x, clearance Advil, Schick razor, Neosporin and Band-aids.
I had a $4 coupon for razor (+ I received 3RR)
I had $1 coupons for Neosporin and Band-aids (+ I received 4RR)
I used my 11RR from earlier trans
Paid $7.78 and received 7RR
Trans #2:
Clearance Advil, disposable gloves, and candy bar for "filler"
Paid with 7RR from above, and .67 cash.
I saved a little over $50 if you count the reg price of the children's advil, and spent less than $20. I did not have coupons for the hand sanitizer ($4), gloves ($4.99) or candy bar. I was going to buy hand sanitizer and gloves anyway, so I think I came out pretty good!
